In this tutorial we'll make an mp3 player.
More people asked me, with which 3D program used to do it. And the answer is:
no 3D, just Photoshop!
There are many ways to make it, we"ll use a simply one.
First, make a new document, the size we use now is 400x400 px, resolution 72px/inch. Fill the background with any colour you want, I used #B79853
Now draw the main shape. Create a new layer. Select a light gray color (#DCDEE0), and with the rounded rectangle tool (radius 10px) make a shape:

Take the direct selection tool:

click along the shape. Now you can see the anchor points:

If you click on an anchor point, you can nudge it with keyboard cursors. But now we first add some new anchor points, with the add anchor point tool:

Add it where I did:

Now select the left added point with direct selection tool and press the right cursor on keyboard 4 times. Click on the right added point and press the left cursor 4 times. Now our shape look like this:

Now press ctrl+h and we got our shape!

You can try make many kind of shapes with anchor points.
Now we need to get a smooth metal look. We'll use the layer styles to do it. Select your shape layer. On the menu select layer-layer style-blending options. In the opened window, use these settings:
Drop shadow:

Inner shadow:

Inner glow:

Bevel and amboss:

Satin:

Gradient overlay:

Before You close the window, click on new style button and save the style setting with a new name. You can use these settings simply on other shapes later! After saving, click on OK button, and you'll have a shape like this:

Now put the big button on the shape. Make a new layer.
Take the ellipse tool and draw a rounded shape:

Now go to menu, layer-layer style-blending options. Click on the style button and choose the previously saved style.Than go to drop shadow and change the settings like this:

Save settings as new style again.Click OK. With direct selection tool place the big button where you want, click ctrl+h and you"ll got something like this:

Ok, let's put some small buttons! On a new layer, repeat the operations we used at the big button, but draw some smaller buttons. You'll got this:

Now we make the LCD panel. On a new layer, draw a rectangle. Use rectangle tool with white color. Selected this layer, go to menu:layer-layer style-blending options. Take these settings:
Inner shadow:

Gradient overlay:

Make new layer and draw a rectangle, now with black colour. Let it a little smaller then the previous rectangle. Put it on the previously drawn rectangle(with gradient overlay). If you did it correctly, you got something like this:

Make a new layer, draw a little smaller rectangle with this colour: #50B0BF.
Place it on the LCD panel. Go to menu: layer-layer style-blending options,
and use these settings:
Bevel and emboss:

Stroke:

You'll got this:

Make it more realistic! Take type tool. I use the font called: superpoint, with 14pt. Type: 8888 88 888. On Layers panel, change the opacity to 34:

You'll got this:

Optionally you can put some text on LCD panel, trying it! I did this:

Put on some decoration and text, whatever you want! If you don't like the
background colour, change it!
The variations are unlimited.
Finally I got this one:

I hope You like this tutorial. Next maybe we'll make a remote control for
our player...
